SmartViner (“SmartViner”, “we”, “us”) is a browser extension and companion service that enhances the Amazon Vine reviewer experience. This policy explains what data we collect, why, how we use it, and the choices you have. SmartViner is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

1. Data we collect

We collect only what is needed to provide the extension’s features:

• Account information (PII). When you create an account, we store your email address and basic Amazon Vine account details (such as your membership tier and status) so the extension can identify you and show your account state.
• Authentication information. We store login credentials and session tokens needed to sign you in to the SmartViner service securely.
• Website content. On Amazon Vine pages, the extension reads catalog content you are viewing (item titles, images, prices, ASINs, and related metadata) to power the feed, the 24‑hour recap, filtering, and quick product views.
• Product activity. We store your Vine order history and in‑app choices (settings, column setup, filter rules, likes/queue selections) to remember your configuration and personalize recommendations to your taste.

2. Data we do NOT collect

We do not collect health information, financial or payment information, precise location or GPS, personal communications (emails, texts, chats), or your general web browsing history. The extension operates only on Amazon Vine pages and the SmartViner service — it does not track the other sites you visit.

3. How we use your data

• To display and operate the SmartViner interface on Amazon Vine pages.
• To generate your personalized 24‑hour recap and taste‑matched recommendations from your Vine catalog and order history.
• To save and sync your settings and preferences across sessions.
• To notify you of new matching items and account‑status events relevant to your Vine membership.
• To operate, secure, debug, and improve the service.

4. How your data is shared

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not transfer it to third parties except as required to run the service (for example, secure cloud hosting) or to comply with the law. We do not use or transfer your data for any purpose unrelated to SmartViner’s single purpose, and we never use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

Your data is sent only to SmartViner’s own backend at smartviner.com. The extension does not load or execute any code from remote servers — all extension code is packaged within the extension itself.

5. Data retention & security

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/WSS) and protected with industry‑standard safeguards. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see below).

6. Your choices & rights

• Access, correct, or delete your account data by contacting us.
• Turn individual features on or off from the extension’s settings.
• Uninstall the extension at any time to stop all data collection by it; locally stored preferences are removed with it.

7. Children’s privacy

SmartViner is intended for adult Amazon Vine members and is not directed to children under 13.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
